Impact of Social Networking Sites on Youth

Social Networking Sites today have dissolved into our lives so fast and so easy that now we feel these websites were here always, it doesn't feel like its a 21st Century thing anymore. Then the Introduction of these SmartPhones, getting cheaper and better. Tempting every individual to buy one. Many people say that these Social Networking Sites are creating a negative Impact on our youth. The youth is awakening its Narcissist behavior as these sites connect them with hundreds of their friends with just one Click.

Many of us have become attention seeker. But i think the situation is NOT that bad, i mean yes youth is getting spoiled a bit wasting hours and hours on these sites. But when i take a more closer look with a calm mind, i can clearly see their are more positive things attached to Social Networks than negative. I mean the social media has brought us closer than ever. I know many will argue that its all virtual, but its how you take it, i didn't say to spend hours together online! But what when you are not at all in a position to meet-up but still wanna talk(chat), hear each others voice, see each other, (Hangout), i mean it has revolutionized our social interaction. It has made our Life much much easier.

And not just that, many businesses attract a large % of their customers through Social Media. I think Facebook become so popular as it made it really very easy for us to share our Pictures so easily, and within a fraction of a second these Images are available for hundreds of our friends to see. And the speed with which YouTube has grown in the last couple of years i guess Social Networking will be a lot more video sharing than pictures.

But yes you cannot call YouTube and pure Social Network like FaceBook, because Facebook allows us to share our stuff with only those we want, but on YouTube its either just you, or its the whole world! But yes many are OK with it!
So my conclusion is don't worry about how Social Networks will ruin your life, see to it that they will make it better!

Attitude of 10 Rupee

“Don't Make Decisions When You're Angry.

Don't Make Promises When You're Happy.”
and a New One!
Don't show your 'not so good' Attitude
When you expect a Tip on-the-table...

Sunday 7th July, its Raining heavily. My friend got his first salary a few days ago, and he promised that he'll throw a Party on any Sunday we prefer. So this was the day..

We (Me and Salary friend :P) left at around 8pm and reached a Restaurant named Dum Biryani which was just about a couple of miles away. There was just one more of our friend who was going to attend but he didn't join us for some reason, so it was just two of us. My friend has an Old Scooty which should have been grounded 50 year before, but he still harrasses that machine. But somehow it covered the two miles to the resto carrying two 'Young' heavy weights( specified young because she i.e. scooty, reminds me of my Grandmother ).

We both are two giant pieces of Meat waiting to eat more Meat. So the first order was made - The Old School "Chicken Tandoori". And a bottle of mango drink to go with it. We both were in a very joyful mood and ready for the Grand Feast! A waiter came and placed two plates in front of my friend, I had my elbows placed on the table still left enough space for serving. But the waiter for some reason pushed my elbow with his hammering plate. But we were in such a pleasant mood, that we just ignored that badass Attitude of his.

A girl was sitting just behind my friend, she was beautiful. Visible was her small round face, including her tiny nose, cute lips and surely her dazzling black eyes. There was no one else I could focus on. She came on a date with her boyfriend, so she was all well dressed up! Dressed up in a blue-black one piece.

I should continue with the actual story...

I was looking at her just hiding behind my friend's face. Meanwhile the Shahi Chicken took the place of Tandoori Chicken, and the feast continued,,, Chicken, Mango Drink and the beautiful girl.. Wah!
My friend asked for some cut onions and lemons(they go great with Non-Veg food), but the waiter ignored! This is the same waiter who pushed my elbow. But still we laughed and thought he may had got beaten by his wife in the morning.

While we were having the Shahi Chicken she was looking at me, hiding her eyes from her boyfriend. Many times a girl wants to know if people are looking at her or not. It is not that she was attracted towards me, but just wanted to know if I was attracted!

Oops not again, get on to the topic dude..

Yes, so observing the attitude of this waiter, I decided that I will stop my friend from leaving any penny as a Tip on the table. The feast was coming to an end. We both came in weighing approx. 80 kg each and were leaving +5 each. You are smart enough to understand that bill was mighty.

While leaving the 'Dum Biryani' resto my friend kept a 10 rupee tip dipped in the Sauf(Roasted Fennel Seeds). But I as decided just picked that up within no time, and the note went flying into my friends pocket. It was not that I did this because he pushed me, or because he was ignorant or anything else. It is just that I wanted him to realize that he has done something which may affect his own life.

I am a very ignorant person to flaws in people. But what if there was someone else? He could have lost his job.. That was the reason I did that!

What do you think? What I did was Right or Wrong? Tell me in the comments.. What would you do if you face similar kind of situation? Do comment!

Walking in Rain!

Walking in Rain!

Walking in Rain!

Its the start of Monsoon here in Navi Mumbai, India. Its my daily routine to put my shoes on in the evening around 6 - 06:30 and go out for a Long ( a bit long, around 5 Km ) taking the service road besides the beautiful Palm Beach Road. And this happens just after i come from the Gym. Walking in Rain!

But on Sundays my Gym is closed, but still the long road calls me to free my limbs. And i always hear the call. So Sunday is not any exception for me and my long walk.

But as the Monsoon has already stepped inn, my friends thought, now i would be available for the evening Chai and Pakodas ( Although, i love that too ). Naturally i didn't avoid walking even when i know rainy season has arrived.

So its a Sunday i walked out shoes on without my mobile phone, without the umbrella or anything to protect myself from the mighty Monsoon. The nature from which i walk maybe a very prominent reason why i chose walking in rain over "The Evening Chai and Pakodas!".

While i left my place, the sky was bright without sun, you can imagine the colour. Already the clouds started sending small pleasing droplets down on my skin. By the way i am not a slow walker, my walking is at a good pace, still i enjoy the nature around very well. Of Course how fast a walk can be to avoid the nature around?

While i was feeling the initial droplets the birds on the pond around took my attention. They were making a lot of noise. Its was like they were telling me "Its gonna rain and you don't have any place to hide for a mile if you go beyond this", trees are no option.. But assuming the conversation i told them, "Don't worry i don't have my Mobile phone, I can afford to get wet".

On my way back, it started getting darker. i had to use the main road in between because the service road had collected a lot of water at places coming from the main road above. Till this time the weather was pleasing me, with water drops and cool breeze flowing across.

Actually

Walking in Rain!

Suddenly the breeze stopped, the droplet vanished like they never existed, and thinking my legs slowed my pace a bit, as they knew what was gonna come...!! The birds on the pond were correct, it rain exactly a the point where i could not find any place to hide for at least a mile. It started raining heavily, within no time my blue T-shirt got all wet and started discomforting me, as i don't like wet clothes sticking on me.

I But it was not the time i could think of anything else but the heavy rain, the nature around and me walking alone all wet. Not a single person i could see who was pleased with this heavy shower. But i felt like dancing there and yes i did dance a bit, i was singing loudly with No one to hear, "Rim Jhim Gire Saawan, Ek ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si" and many old melodies on Monsoon. Yes my favourite "Bheegi Bheegi Raaton mein" was the song which lasted for long as i am aware about the lyrics.

Singing these songs i could not even make out that the journey was approaching towards the end point, a journey ending so that it could make a new start on the very next day and every day of my life..

  •  After completing Higher Secondary School or 12th Standard, any individual can appear for the Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) examinations which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), situated at Dholpur House, New Delhi. It is an extremely competitive exam, as there are a limited number of vacancies available.

Successful candidates join as technical apprentices (Special Class) and are sent to the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, situated at Jamalpur. Here, they are put through a four year technical training, and They have to clear the examinations conducted by the Institution Of Engineers. Once cleared, they are directly recruited as officers under the cadre of Indian Railways Service Of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME).

Officers coming via the Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) route have a distinct advantage over the others. They climb the corporate ladder rather quickly, compared to their counterparts who join after clearing IES. Many of them go on to become General Managers & Members of the Railway Board. Of course, to become a GM, they have to put in stint as a Divisional Railway Manager (DRM).

  •  After completing Engineering, candidates aspiring for a job with Indian Railways have to clear the Indian Engineering Services (IES) examinations, conducted by the UPSC. These examinations are tough, as they question you on the technicals of the subjects which you had studied in engineering. The competition is hectic, as only the top few candidates of the successful candidates get an offer from the railways. Other have to settle for CPWD - Central Public Works DepartmentMES - Manufacturing Execution System, NHAI - National Highways Authority of India etc...

Candidates from Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, and Electrical branches of engineering, are inducted into the railways into their respective cadres (Indian Railways Service Of Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Telecom Engineers respectively). They all are given training at their respective institutions. (For IRSE engineers, it is the Indian Railways Institute Of Electrical Engineering (IREEN) at Nashik, and the Railway Staff College, at Vadodara (its common for all).

  •  You can also get into the Railways by appearing for the Civil Services examinations. If you get a good rank, you might opt for the Indian Railways Traffic Service (IRTS), or the Indian Railways Accounts Service (IRAS).

  •  For Lower level posts and technical level posts, the regional Railway Recruitment Boards conduct regular examinations for the posts of Drivers, Assistant Drivers, Stations Masters, Section Engineers etc.

  • Meritorious sportspersons are also encouraged to join the Indian Railways under the Sports Quota.

  •  Doctors and surgeons can join the Railways, and they come under the Indian Railways Medical Service (IRMS) cadre. Railways have full-fledged hospitals at the divisional level & at zonal headquarters. Some of them are famous (PER railway hospital is famous for heart surgery).

  •  On humanitarian grounds, if a railway employee dies while in active service, the next of kin might be given a job on compassionate grounds (breadwinner case).

And at the lowest level, helpers or attendants functioning as bungalow peons might be eventually absorbed into regular service as khalasis and helpers.

Happy Mothers Day 2013

What do you live for? What is your ambition? What is your passion? Many of you may answer Football, Computers, Engineering, Cricket etc. Have you ever asked this to your Mom, Mother, Maa(Hindi), Aai(Marathi) ?? Ask her once, try it! The answer will be, "To help you succeed dear". I am always amazed to see her dedication towards helping us reach our goals.

My Mom is a full time homemaker, her day starts at 5:30 in the morning, starts preparing breakfast and Tiffin for me and my Dad. Then waking us up(most difficult job). Now, i am 21 and i do a lot of work on my own, but a few years back when i was in school, my Mom used to Iron my uniform, Comb my frizzy hair, Help me with my studies and much more.

My Mom has studied till 12th grade, never seen college. Even her schooling was done in Marathi(Local Language). But she wanted her Kids to call her "Mom", because "Aai" was the obvious term we were gonna use for her. And she had predicted the growing Importance of the Language around her. Today i correct small pronunciation mistakes made by her. And she gets a little annoyed about that, maybe thinking that she was the one who wanted me to learn the language.

I remember one night, my Dad had an accident. He was badly injured falling from his bike on the highway. It was 03: 00 am when my Dad knocked the main door, and just collapsed down on the white marble with blood coming out of the wounded forehead. My mom screamed and i woke up hearing it. I was 13 and my eyes were filled. But Mom without panicking much, took the first aid and stopped the blood flow while her own eyes were not able to control.

She made a call to the Hospital and went with the Ambulance telling me, "Don't worry, you take a shower, get ready and go to school on time. Papa will be home before you return from school". The smile on her face, the confidence in her speech, and the Love in her eyes, forces you to accept what she says as the truth. But she was right, he was their when i returned home, a bit broken on the shoulder but Dad came home :).

Our house is like a small company, my Mom is the CEO here! She is such a tough character, can handle any situation.. Never says no, if the thing is asked for my Good! It is said Teacher comes even before the God, Allah, Bhagwan whatever you may call it. But i want to tell you one thing, my first and best teacher is my Mom and no one else!

Love you Aai!

Why do we give So much Importance to Terrorism?

Importance to terrorism
Importance to Terrorism
Why do we give So much Importance to Terrorism?

Today terrorism is ruining our social life, so we should not give importance to terrorism by continuously displaying acts of terror by terrorists. You must be like, "If we ignore them and do not give importance to terrorism they will grow even faster". Till you make any judgement like that, let me explain..

What happens when you fall into a Mud Pit? The harder you try getting out of it, the more you sink! You feel like you are giving your 200% but all in complete vain... Your whole attention is trying to get rid of it. But finally what happens? You go way... deep!

When you give more or access of attention to a particular thing, that "thing" starts liking you, actually it starts loving you! :D. And you instead of getting rid of it, it start getting close to you, it starts getting comfortable with you. It sticks to you tightly, as you are giving it the attention it never received. Well, i guess its more applicable to Girls :p. This is the exact thing which is happening today with terrorism.

Now-a-days pick up any newspaper, what do you see on the first page? A Bomb Blast news, a Rape news, maybe a corruption news! What is it? Tell me what is it?? Well, this is what we are upto, we are giving these BAD things, so much of attention so much of importance, that them instead of losing power they are gaining power and becoming stronger and stronger.

Let me tell you a story, There was a small country constantly harassed by a neighbouring Big country. Well i won't take the name of these countries. One day this small peaceful country is attacked by the cruel big neighbour by a series of bomb blasts. This country doesn't even have its own Army, hundreds of people died. But this is "NOT" a simple country.

The same day of the Bomb Blast a Holy Famous priest came to this small peaceful country. He came here to spread the message of love! And guess what the next day's newspaper had a Big photograph on the front page! And it was not the image of those people who died in those blast, not even their crying families. It was that priest! You will ask me, "Where the hell is the Bombardment News??". Well, it was there, but not on the front page. It was somewhere inside.

This is what we should understand and apply. So should we change the sentence? War on Terror? Nope its spreading the message of Love and Peace! The more value you give it the more it will come to you. Thank you Namaste!

Value of Life in Different countries!

- Hello guys, this is Mayuresh and i am writing this article to praise some and even to tell many that they can improve, infact they should improve! Value of Life in Different countries!
United States of America is attacked by Al-Qaeda terrorist's and World Trade Centre falls. Those two Aircrafts striking the WTC, this scene can never get out of our mind. This is considered to be the biggest terror attack ever. I mean whenever we say terror attack what do we visualize? World Trade Centre falling down, those aircrafts demolishing it, people jumping out of the buildings without parachute or any safety gear, just praying to the almighty that somehow they survive.

Then after 11 or 12 years in 2013, two bomb blasts take place in Boston MarathonAnd how many people died? - 3, in which one is a chinese student studying in boston university! You see, Value of Life in Different countries is different! I mean this is how a responsible country or government should be! Working completely for its people! for its safety and security! No one is perfect, but atleast you should have Spine.

What happens in other countries like in Pakistan - Afghanistan  being the worst cases, the country which i stay in, India, killings take place regularly, some events are taken up by the media, media is not aware about some event's, or maybe it ignores some events, as no one died in that attack... Sometimes some killings are ignored as they want to show something more "Interesting". Or just a 20 second news, thats it!

This is the value of life in many countries. But in countries like USA, Britain and many european nations, cost of life is priceless that's how it should be..! But unfortunately we have been so materialized, that we try to increase our T.R.P. on such Awful events!

Nothing more to say, i guess my generation is more sensible, sensitive and positive in approach.
Thank you Namaste! Be Strong, But be a human!
